General things to avoid . . .
Avoid using oil-based skin care and make-up products around your eyes, including mascara and make-up remover.
Avoid water proof mascara. If you can, it is better not to use any mascara at all You may find you don't even need it.
Avoid rubbing your eyes or lashes, especially when washing your face. It is recommended to clean around the eye area with a Q-tip.
Avoid using an eye lash curler. One of the benefits of lash extensions is the ability to add curl to your lashes. If you world like more curl or longer length, please let me know at the beginning of your appointment.
If you can, sleep on your back to avoid the risk of lashes rubbing against your pillow.
Gently brush your lashes with a clean mascara wand to groom them. The best time to do this is after showering, as they will be softer and less likely to be damaged.
Avoid pulling on your lashes. Do not attempt to remove lashes yourself. If you would like them removed, please make a Lash Removal appointment with me.
Notes . . .
I am professionally trained and certified Lash Extension Artist through 3D Beauty.
Please read the information provided on this page BEFORE your first lash appointment.
The lash glue/bond I use is formaldehyde free.
Lash Removal is free to current Lash Extension clients at Jojo's Beauty Bar.
Remember, clean and lightly brush your lashes ever night. Use lash conditioner.
I only use cruelty-free authentic mink fur lash extensions.
No cute furry critters are harmed.
Silk - every 2-3 weeks
Mink- every 4-5 weeks
Lash Tinting may be applied a minimum of one week (seven days) BEFORE Lash Extention application.
Before your appointment . . .
If you wear waterproof mascara, avoid using it 2-3 days before your first appointment. The film it leaves on your lashes may prevent the extensions from bonding correctly.
Arrive to your appointment with dry, clean, make-up free lashes. If there is any make-up residue present the new lash extension will not bond or will result in a weak bond to your natural lash.
Please remember . . . The more time we spend cleaning to prep your lashes the less time I have to apply new lashes. It is in your best interest to clean your lashes thoroughly ahead of time to make the most of your appointment time with me.
Remove contact lenses before your appointment.
First 24-48 hours . . .
Avoid getting your lashes wet, steamed or moist for 24 hours after the lash extensions are applied. It will affect the efficiency of the bond. Examples: exercise, showers, facials, saunas and swimming pools.
Avoid tanning beds for 48 yours after applicaition.
Avoid chemical peels or laser treatments around the eyes.
Avoid washing your eyes and lash extensions with your normal face wash. Ingredients in your face wash my break down the lash bond faster.

The entire lash application procedure is very comfortable and relaxing.
If you are new to Lash Extensions or new to Jojo's Beauty Bar, you will need to schedule a consultation appointment with me first. We will look at the different lash extension options. I will add a few lash extensions to your natural lashes to test for allergic reaction. It is better to be safe than sorry. If no allergies occur, the cost of the consultation appointment will be applied towards your Lash Extension Set within 30 days.
It will take anywhere from 2 to 3 1/2 hours depending on which type of Lash Extensions set or Touch-up appointment you schedule.
Each lash extension is attached to one of your own individual lashes.
The adhesive forms a polymer bond, which is a flexible hold that is permanently attached to your own lash once applied.
The lash extensions are water proof. After the first 24 hours you can shower and exercise with them on.
To maintain the appearance of your beautiful lash extension set you will need to schedule regular "Touch-Up" appointments to replace any lashes that have shed or if you want to make them fuller and or longer. It is best to schedule your next "Touch-Up" appointment asap to secure a convenient appointment day and time.
To increase the longevity of your lashes, it is advised to clean your lashes every night to avoid bacteria build-up from make-up and our natural oils. You will receive a bottle of lash cleaner when you purchase and receive your first set of Lash Extensions with me.
With a few simple care instructions and knowledge you will continue to enjoy your beautiful lashes.
